Man Utd have named their side to face Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United have made five changes to their starting line up to face Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Ruben Amorim has rotated his squad with defender Tyler Fredricson handed a shock debut in defence and Victor Lindelof has been chosen to captain the side in the absence of Bruno Fernandes. Harry Amass has been handed his first Old Trafford start at left wing-back, with Patrick Dorgu moved to right wing-back to replace Diogo Dalot.

Kobbie Mainoo and Christian Eriksen have both been handed starts in central midfield, while Jonny Evans has returned to the matchday squad with a place on the bench. It means Alejandro Garnacho keeps his place in one of the attacking midfield roles, with Rasmus Hojlund selected to lead the line again. Teenage striker Chido Obi has been named on the bench and is likely to get some minutes as a substitute.

Manchester United have confirmed Luke Shaw and Altay Bayindir have both been rested from the match day squad against Wolves on Sunday afternoon. Shaw played 75 minutes during the midweek victory over Lyon in the Europa League and has been rested as a precaution. The 29-year-old trained at Carrington on Sunday morning but was not selected for the final match day squad against Wolves.

It has also been confirmed that back-up goalkeeper Bayindir has been rested as a precaution after a ‘small issue in training’. His setback is not considered major, and he has been replaced on the bench by Tom Heaton. United have handed out a debut to defender Tyler Fredricson, who comes into defence in place of Leny Yoro.

The 20-year-old has been named on the bench three times already this season but has finally been given the chance to showcase his talents at senior level. United XI vs Wolves: Onana, Mazraoui, Lindelof (c), Fredricson, Amass, Dorgu, Ugarte, Eriksen, Mainoo, Hojlund, Garnacho. Subs: Heaton, Dalot, Evans, Yoro, Casemiro, Maguire, Fernandes, Mount, Obi.
