Kyle Walker has added to Manchester City's injury concerns after missing the trip to Wolves in the Premier League . Walker , who played in one of England's two fixtures over the international break, did not arrive with the City squad at Molineux on Sunday, meaning Rico Lewis kept his place at right-back to continue a fine start to the season. Walker's absence is coupled with Kevin De Bruyne's continued injury issues, with Pep Guardiola suggesting that the Belgian was not yet ready to return after injury.
De Bruyne was missing from the squad at Wolves as expected, although he has returned to training, while Nathan Ake was back on the bench after stepping up his own return. Manu Akanji, who missed training this week and was a doubt, was named on the bench at Wolves as John Stones stepped in. City still have Rodri and Oscar Bobb as their long-term absentees, with De Bruyne hoped to return in the coming weeks. On De Bruyne and Ake, Guardiola said on Friday: "I don't think [they will be ready to face Wolves]. They are not ready.
They are training, they are in the last part. Yesterday Nathan [Ake] did his first training with the team. Maybe he can travel but he is not ready to start.
Today was a day off so we will see how they feel.".
