Patrick Mahomes is trying to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat. He needs only to beat the Philadelphia Eagles to achieve that goal and win his fourth career championship. Mahomes hasn't yet turned 30 but has already established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
Many fans will be wondering, as they put on the NFL's Pro Bowl Games , whether the star quarterback is set to participate in the All-Star showcase. But Mahomes won't be in Orlando as he looks to take home another Lombardi Trophy. Even if the Chiefs weren't in the Super Bowl, it wasn't likely Mahomes would be participating in the Pro Bowl Games.

Is Patrick Mahomes participating in the Pro Bowl? Mahomes is not participating in the 2025 Pro Bowl. He actually wasn't among the three original AFC quarterback selections for the event.
Instead, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen , Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow won the voting to land the three spots on the AFC squad. The 2025 Pro Bowl marks the first time Mahomes has not been elected to the event since his rookie season in 2017. He made just one start as the primary backup to Alex Smith during that campaign.
Why isn't Patrick Mahomes in the Pro Bowl? Mahomes isn't in the Pro Bowl for two reasons. As mentioned, he couldn't quite get past the top-three AFC quarterbacks in the voting.
