
Carrie Coon made an appearance in 2018′s Avengers: Infinity War and an offer was on the table for her to appear in Avengers: Endgame , but she turned down the opportunity. The actress, who can currently be seen in HBO’s The White Lotus , voiced the CGI character Proxima Midnight. The character still appeared in Endgame , but just for a cameo.

Carrie ‘s husband, actor and playwright Tracy Letts , revealed in a new interview that Marvel Studios didn’t offer a pay increase for the second appearance. “I believe [Marvel] went to her for the second one, and they asked her to be in the second one,” Tracy said on The Ringer’s The Big Picture podcast .
“And she said, ‘Well, the first one is the most successful movie ever made. Are you going to pay me any more money?’ And they said, ‘No. We’re not going to pay you any more money.
’” “She said, ‘Wow, you’re not going to pay me any more money, then I don’t think I’m going to do it.’ And they said, ‘Well, you should feel yourself fortunate to be part of the Marvel Universe.’ So she declined,” Tracy added.
“We would’ve made a bigger deal out of this, but it would have involved us watching the movies and we weren’t going to do that.” Tracy said that he and Carrie never watched Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame . Carrie recently responded to rumors about her marriage to Tracy .
