Whichever team faces Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl will be facing a hungry Ashton Jeanty. The Broncos star admitted after losing a close Heisman Trophy race to Travis Hunter that he "really felt" he should have "walked away with the award" before giving credit to Hunter for a tremendous season of his own. While gracious in defeat, there's no doubt Jeanty feels like he still has something to prove.
Boise State's chances of advancing to the College Football Playoff semifinals likely depend on Jeanty, who is hoping to be refreshed after playing through some minor ailments late in the season. The focal point of the Broncos' offense, Jeanty has 2,497 rushing yards and 30 total touchdowns through 13 games. Once the first round of the playoff wraps up, Jeanty and Boise State will be able to hone in on its opponent as one of the biggest games in program history nears.
