DANIIL MEDVEDEV is hoping to win his first Wimbledon trophy at this year's tournament and his wife Daria will be cheering him on. Daniil Medvedev's wife Daria is a former tennis player but due to injuries, she needed to give up her dream of playing professionally.
Daria hails from Russia 's capital, Moscow . She enrolled at Moscow State Institute of International Relations to study journalism after she retired from tennis. The pair tied the knot before he played in the Davis Cup for Russia back in September 2018.
“She played tennis until she was 17 or 18, but because of injuries she couldn’t reach the desired level," Daniil has previously said. "Nevertheless, it’s great that she understands tennis. "She knows that we can’t go shopping before the game.
