She is a registered nurse and is not involved in Walmart as a board member. She however, remains one of the wealthiest women in the world . Interestingly, the ownership of Nuggets and Avalanche franchises are under Ann’s name, a move Kroenke carried out to circumvent NFL rules that would have prevented him from buying the Los Angeles Rams.

In the past two seasons, the team has finished second twice, narrowly being pipped by Manchester City . The Gunners continue to impress and are currently second in the table, six points behind Liverpool . However the team are in dire need of attacking reinforcements.

There has been criticism aimed at the club for not bringing in a top striker in the last two transfer windows, given that Gabriel Jesus has struggled with injuries and form. However, reports say that Kroenke has sanctioned the club’s moves for an attacker with the likes of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and Spanish winger Nico Williams heavily linked. There are also reports crediting Arsenal with a move for Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak.

Interestingly, the Arsenal chiefs flew to the United States in November 2024 for a meeting with Kroenke to discuss their transfer plans. That said, it would be interesting to see how the next transfer window plays out for the London-based club as Kroenke and team look to deliver the club’s first league title since 2004. European Super League controversy While Kroenke's time as owner has been relatively good, he ruffled feathers in 2021 when Arsenal were one of the founding members of the controversial European Super League (ESL).

The idea was shot down immediately with Arsenal backing out within two days of the announcement. The criticism levelled at those involved in the breakaway tournament was heavy and fans didn't waste time in making their displeasure known. It would have created a closed shop system which would have further concentrated wealth into the hands of a few ‘big’ clubs and would have been a financial and sporting body blow those who missed out or chose not to include themselves.

The fans widely criticised Kroenke's role in the venture and even took part in protests calling for the owner to leave the club. Chants of “We want Kroenke out” and “We want our Arsenal back” were popular sentiments back then highlighting the supporters’ frustrations.
