A TV lover has shared the little-known series that you 'need to watch ' if you enjoyed The White Lotus . Jason Pargin – an American author who penned the comic horror novel John Dies at the End, under the pseudonym David Wong – has taken to X to share a video where he proclaimed his love for the lesser-known series. In his clip, he said: "If you love the show The White Lotus and shows like it and you're now sad the season has ended, and you're not desperately looking for something very similar, there is another show out there that's buried on Amazon Prime .
" He says the show Reacher is a must-watch – with IMDb even ranking it 8/10 from 257,000 reviews. Starring Alan Ritchson, Maria Sten and Malcolm Goodwin, it follows as "itinerant former military policeman Jack Reacher solves crimes and metes out his own brand of street justice. Based on the novels by Lee Child".
Despite being released in 2022, many Amazon Prime fans are yet to watch it – but two awards and 10 nominations speak for themselves. Jason adds: "It is about a gigantic man who travels to a series of exotic locations and like in The White Lotus, he encounters a lot of people who on the surface may seem normal but they're all hiding a secret, often a dark secret. "Then the gigantic man Reacher will punch those people until they stop moving.
Just like The White Lotus, there are three seasons and just like that show you know from the very first episode that not everybody is going to survive the season. "I just discovered this show myself but I know for a fact, a lot of the people watching this have a hole in their lives that is exactly the size and shape of Reacher." Reviewing the show on IMBd, one user said: "Having read many Reacher novels, and watching the two Reacher movies.
I have to say, this is what Lee Child envisioned when he created Reacher. "If you enjoy the Tom Cruise movies , you should, enjoy them as Tom Cruise movies, because that's what they are, if you are a Reacher book fan, this is a show for you. Not disappointed.
I hope they make many more books with Alan Ritchson." Another user added: "It's hard to describe how much I loved Reacher. I was excited ever since I first heard about it and just got more and more excited as I saw the trailers and read the reviews so I had huge expectations going into this.
"Well, this series not only met those expectations but surpassed them in every way. I'm glad that I waited for all the episodes to be released before I started watching because it watched better as a binge watch. "I actually liked it so much I plan on watching again all the way through very soon.
"Alan Ritchson has been good in supporting roles throughout his career but I wasn't sure he could be the lead in a good series but he definitely can. He is fantastic in this. "He not only looks the part but does a good job as lead actor.
Reacher is one of my favorite new shows and I can't wait for another season.".
