In a fusion of art and fine spirits, Scottish whisky, The Macallan, partnered with Windsor Gallery to host an exclusive art exhibition on August 23, in Victoria Island, Lagos. The evening celebrated the work of acclaimed contemporary artist, Kristine Tsala, and featured pieces by artists Lateef Olajumoke and Jacobleu. The exhibition, titled ‘DreamScape’, offered guests a truly engaging experience, inviting them to embark on a visual and emotional journey through Tsala’s art.
Attendees were treated to an exclusive whisky tasting of The Macallan’s finest non-age statement expressions, which were carefully curated to complement the artistic exploration. During the exhibition, The Macallan Brand Ambassador and Educator, Daniel Atteh, guided attendees through an educational journey, highlighting the excellent craftsmanship and creative expression that go into the making of the renowned whisky. Atteh emphasised that the age of a whisky is not the sole indicator of its quality.
“Whisky, much like art, expresses itself differently,” Atteh explained. “It’s not just about the age, but about the whisky, the spirits, the cask, and the maturity. What you’re looking for in the whisky is a creative expression, just like artists let their inspiration guide their hands”.
