INDIANAPOLIS — With the 2024 season wrapping up without a playoff berth, Indianapolis Colts fans can start to look ahead to next year, starting with the schedule. While dates and times will be announced at a later date, the Colts' 2025 opponents are all but set. As is the case every season, Indianapolis will face each of its AFC South rivals twice, once at home and once on the road.
Speaking of the AFC South, the division will play crossover games with the AFC West and NFC West next season. Arizona, Denver, Las Vegas and San Francisco will visit Lucas Oil Stadium in 2025, while the Colts will visit Kansas City, Los Angeles (playing both the Chargers and Rams on the road) and Seattle. The final three games of the Colts' schedule will be made up of teams that finish in equal position in the AFC East, AFC North and NFC South.
Heading into the final game of the 2024 season, the Colts have clinched second place in the AFC South and the Miami Dolphins will finish second in the AFC East, setting up a meeting at Lucas Oil Stadium. Indianapolis beat Miami, 16-10, on Oct. 20, 2024.
The final two opponents will be determined by the final weekend of the regular season. The Buccaneers and Falcons are battling for first place in the NFC South. The team that finishes second will travel to Indianapolis next season.
Likewise, the second-place finisher in the AFC North — either Baltimore or Pittsburgh — will host the Colts in 2025. Both the Ravens and Steelers will conclude their regular season Saturday night, finalizing that matchup for next year. In recent years, the actual schedule for the upcoming season, complete with dates and times, has been released in early to mid-May, in the weeks following the NFL draft.
