Cartel Roasting Co One of the first stops off 111 Highway is Cartel Roasting Co. Attached to the Arrive hotel, this Arizona-based chain roasts some of the best beans in the region and takes great care with making cold brew lemonade, espresso tonics, and strong lattes. Peninsula Pastries Palm Springs After a late night, don dark sunglasses and a hat before strolling into Peninsula Pastries. Everything is made with imported French butter and flour with a sprawling display case that further complicates the selection process. Lola Rose Grand Mezze Perched on the second-floor rooftop of the Thompson Palm Springs is Lola Rose. It’s become quite the spot since opening in November 2024, where a Levantine-inspired menu includes grilled octopus, spicy lamb kebab, garlicky toum, and a bone-in braised lamb neck with za’atar. Brunch is always ideal with the shakshuka in front of the pool.

Gabino's Creperie The origins of Gabino’s Creperie are a Coachella Valley feel-good story. Palm Springs native Marcel Ramirez started his 2020 pop-up and quickly shifted to a successful brick-and-mortar by preparing his Argentine version of crepes. The result is a thicker crepe griddled with cheese and fillings like Buffalo chicken, chicken with pesto, and more.

These are folded into a cone and easily eaten on the go, or at the rear picnic tables. Rooster and the Pig Bold flavors are on full display at Rooster and the Pig.
