There are a few instances when audiences, filmmakers, critics and other members of the trade such as distributors and exhibitors share the same point of view and the box-office failure of Andaz Apna Apna (1994) happens to one of those. Released three decades ago Andaz Apna Apna (AAA) with it’s casting coup that brought together Aamir and Salman Khans, two of most popular stars of the era, and pitched them with a bevy of comic legends Mehmood, Jagdeep and Devan Varma under a hotshot director in Rajkumar Santoshi was just the stuff that Bollywood dreams were made of and yet it failed to set the box-office on fire. Salman Khan once spoke about the film and said, “Aamir is damn funny in the film.
He’s a talkative character and has all the funny lines. I’m the dumbo. He’s done his role, incredible.
” He added, “The film is coming out in six months. I’m desperately trying to delay the film. I’m not giving them dates and harassing them with my broken leg, I’ve cut my hair short.
So the continuity is gone.” Aamir Khan this year dropped the hints that the iconic comedy entertainer ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is coming with the sequel ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’. The big hint dropped by Aamir Khan has surely come as a big surprise for the fans and the audiences on Superstar’s birthday.
From very long time, the sequel of Andaz Apna Apna was in discussion and with Aamir hinted about it we can expect our favourite character Amar and Prem essayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan coming back on the big screens very soon..
