Rashmika Mandanna reportedly charged Rs 10 crore for her role in Pushpa 2 whereas for the first part, she had received Rs 2 crore. Rashmika Mandanna has been all over the Internet, thanks to her streak of successful films. Last year, she conquered the box-office alongside Allu Arjun with her film Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Before the film’s release, speculations arose that the actress had hiked her fees. It was further claimed that Rashmika had become one of the highest-paid actresses in the country. Addressing the same, she cleared the air during her presence at the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa last year.
In an interaction with the media at the event, Rashmika Mandanna said, “I don’t agree with that at all, because that is not true." Her response as she refuted the claims went viral, earning fans’ attention. Reports surfaced online last year suggesting that Rashmika Mandanna charged Rs 10 crore for her role in Pushpa 2.
Starring alongside the likes of Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, she reportedly had charged Rs 2 crore for her part in the first installment of the superhit franchise. Rashmika Mandanna made her Bollywood debut with Good Bye wherein she shared the screen space alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta. However, her career skyrocketed with her performances in films like Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Pushpa 2.
Given the success of the projects, she started charging somewhere between Rs 4 crore to Rs 8 crore per movie, as per reports. Financial Express, in one of its reports, further claimed that Rashmika has been paid Rs 5 crore for her role in Sikandar, her most recent release alongside Salman Khan. The film’s arrival in theatres coincided with Eid, marking the actor’s signature festival release just like every year.
Before Sikandar, Rashmika Mandanna was seen essaying Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale in Chhaava. In the film, she was seen alongside Vicky Kaushal. Reportedly, the actress received Rs 4 crore for the period drama, based on the life of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Next up, Rashmika has some intriguing projects lined up in her kitty. She will be seen in The Girlfriend, a female-centric romantic drama by Rahul Ravindran. The actress also has Thama, set to release later this year.
