Senior Bollywood actor Boman Irani has always pleased the Indian Cinema with his majestic performances and with his different roles in every film. The 65-year-old actor also took a stand for the Tamil and Telugu film Vishwaroopam in 2013, when the film faced criticism and was banned for 15 days. Boman stated that troublemakers will always find a way to create chaos and pull a film into controversy.

The actor felt sad for the filmmakers and opened up about his thoughts on targeting the film industry. Boman Irani shared his views on the Vishwaroopam controversy At a photography exhibition in 2013, the 53-year-old actors said that in a country full of problems, people were targeting the film industry. Boman Irani shared his views on the controversy over Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam and said how troublemakers will always create chaos for the film industry over different topics irrespective of the filmmaker’s honest intentions.



He said,"If someone intentionally wants to create a controversy around a film, he can do that with any film. This is a sad thing. Even if you make a film with the most honest intentions, if someone has to take an objection to it, he will.

The film industry is a soft target, unfortunately." The Munnabhai MBBS actor added, "I feel sad that creative expression is being throttled. There are so many other things that we have to throttle in this country.

It is someone`s hard work, money has been spent, it is unfair." Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam was banned in Tamil Nadu for 15 days after 24 Muslim groups objected to certain scenes of the film as derogatory to their community. Vishwaroop, the Hindi version of the movie, was released across India to a varied response.
