Wheeler Dealers' Mike Brewer has admitted his classic car was undergoing major work with the model only "in parts".

Wheeler Dealers host Mike Brewer has told fans his classic Porsche 911 sportscar is “in parts" as work continues on its restoration. The host of the classic car restoration series admitted the model had been stripped while mechanics fit key parts to the model. Mike has been working on fixing a stunning Porsche 911/964 Turbo in his spare time between series.

Mike has travelled across Europe getting work done on the historic model with his latest visit to garages in Poland. Mike posted the update on social media site X as he gave followers a major update on the project. The TV star said: "I've come to see my car.

Well in fact I've come to see my car, I don't have a car here now. “My car’s here, it's just parts. That’s all that's left.

These are all the brand new parts that are going to be going onto my car. So quite exciting. “These were like €6,000, a lot of money to spend.

We've got a Bilstein suspension, I’ve very kindly done a deal with Bilstein for the suspension so thank you to them. I'm really pleased with that. “There are some other bits and pieces down here.

We will have some cool retro air conditioning going on the car at some point. “The car’s body is somewhere else which I'll probably go and see later on today, So that’s what I've got so far. Let’s see if I can find the rest of my 911.

” Fans interested in getting a further look at Mike’s work won't have to wait too long with production crews filming the restoration. When asked on X when the footage would air, Milke quickly responded that it would be available “soon”. Last year, Mike said he was one of the only individuals not looking to “backdate” the historic model.

He said: “We are doing some design work on my Porsche 964 but we are not going to this extreme. “I think I’m probably one of the only people in the Porsche enthusiast world at the moment that’s not buying a 964 and backdating it. "I like the fact that my car has got hydraulic gearbox, hydraulic brakes, power steering, air conditioning.

It feels like a modern car but it’s still a car stuck very much in the 1990s.".
