Wheeler Dealers host Mike Brewer has urged used car buyers to consider one popular small SUV available on the market for under £10,000. The host of the popular classic car restoration series said a Skoda Yeti could be an ideal pick, with the model praised for its practicality. Mike said the spacious interior and sturdiness of the Yeti could make the model ideal for families.
He also stressed the Czech automaker produces "great cars" and urged motorists thinking of dipping into the second-hand market to take a look. The Wheeler Dealers host spoke about his feelings for the Skoda Yeti as he revealed a series of best-used car picks on the second-hand market. Previously speaking to Car Dealer Magazine , Mike said: "If you’re looking for a bit more space for the family and you need to catty all that kit and caboodle around, then another recommendation would be the Skoda Yeti.
"Now this is a really strong car. It’s got a really good VW platform that sits underneath it. They are reliable, they are rough and tough.
You can bash them round. They’ve got hard plastics on the inside. "If they get stained on the seats, they clean up really well.
Think about those littleuns’ in the back drinking their fruit juice. These cars are really hardy and that’s why I’d recommend a Skoda Yeti. "And Skoda aren't like they used to be.
They really are great cars today." According to used car experts at Parkers , Skoda Yeti models are priced between £1,680 and £13,110. AutoTrader, the leading new and used car marketplace, has plenty of examples available for under the £10,000 mark.
However, final prices will vary based on the condition of the model, its average mileage and when the vehicle was first registered. The AA previously suggested the model was a top pick - despite not being the best-looking car. The breakdown group said the mix of practical, reliable and affordable were three of the car’s biggest selling points.
The AA added: "Although arguably not the most attractive car on the roads, the boxy crossover SUV, Skoda Yeti, is a solid all-round car, which while not always the most thrilling, is capable and competent at all times.".
