Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is taking over the keys to the offense for the 2025 college football season. After sitting behind Quinn Ewers once again last season, Manning is finally set to become the guy for the storied program. Many other quarterbacks would have jumped into the transfer portal in search of playing time.
Manning, however, decided to play the long game and understood that Texas offered him the best chance to reach his full potential. Now, fans are finally going to get a full look at what the nephew of NFL legends Eli Manning and Peyton Manning is capable of producing. During the 2024 season with the Longhorns, Manning received a decent amount of playing time.
He completed 67.8 percent of his pass attempts for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also picked up 108 yards and four more touchdowns on the ground.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, what should fans be expecting from the 6-foot-4 and 225-pound Manning? Let's take a look at some reasonable projections. My projections for Manning have him throwing for 3,625 yards, 31 touchdowns, eight interceptions, and completing 67 percent of his passes. On the ground, he will pick up around 350 yards and score an additional five touchdowns.

If they can get into the College Football Playoff and proceed to the national championship game, his numbers could be much better. Manning is going to live up to the hype for the Longhorns.
He's the real deal and the 2025 season will make a lot of NFL teams hope that he enters the 2026 NFL Draft. August 30 cannot get here soon enough. Texas will be kicking off the season on the road against the defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes.
