'What's happened to all the public toilets?'

featured-image

I HAVE lived around Bournemouth for 30 years, some of which as a hotelier.

Yesterday, I travelled from my home in Verwood and parked in Richmond Hill car park. I searched three floors and realised there are no longer any toilets in the building. I am a fit young 79-years-old and remember there were toilets in Beales and Dingles stores, but these of course are gone.

I asked a member of the public the location of the nearest conveniences and was told they are located at the pier. I do have a radar key but with a total absence of the toilets, it’s useless. It is a pity to see what was a lovely town decline to these depths.
