He was initially hit with lukewarm reviews but gained fans throughout the season for his in-depth analysis and insider knowledge.Brady’s former New England Patriots teammate Logan Ryan is tipping him to improve year-on-year in his new role.Ryan also debuted as a game analyst last season, calling both college football and NFL games for CBS.
“What Tom is doing, it’s never been done,” Ryan told Front Office Sports.“Having the GOAT of their sport commentate game to game. I don’t see Tiger Woods commentating the Masters.
“I don’t see Wayne Gretzky commentating hockey games week in and week out. “I never saw Michael Jordan commentating 82 basketball games.“We’ve never seen the greatest do that.
”Brady was handed the mic for Super Bowl LIX in February and put in a stellar effort as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs. “I thought he got better throughout the year,” continued Ryan, who played with Brady for three years in Foxborough.“I know everybody was blown away by his work ethic and just his personality.
He’s a really good dude.” So I think he got better. I enjoyed him doing the Super Bowl.
“And if I know Tom, I know he’s going to put the work in to improve.”Brady continues to be busy post retirement.He owns a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, as well as English soccer team Birmingham City.
The 47-year-old has also bought into sports card and memorabilia chain CardVault.Brady became a shareholder in the company earlier this year, adding to his ever-growing portfolio.And after opening the latest store, Brady declared: “We’re just getting started.
