Still, behind Britt Prince and Alexis Markowski, the Huskers had more than enough firepower to down the Nittany Lions and end their three-game losing streak. Ultimately, Williams liked how her team responded to the adversity the Huskers faced on the road, and in the game against Penn State, being able to get off of the mat when momentum had shifted. Wednesday provides a great opportunity for the Huskers to stack another home win, and add a resume-quality victory to its NCAA Tournament case.
Michigan State Update: Michigan State had one of its best starts in program history, opening the season 11-0 before dropping back-to-back games to Alabama and Maryland. The Spartans were able to get back on track with a 77-59 home win over Purdue. Michigan State has been one of the best offensive teams in the country this year, scoring over 83 points per game, which ranks 14th in college basketball, and are outscoring opponents by over 26 per game.
Michigan State has scored over 100 points in three games this season, thought all three came against mid-major programs. Nebraska could be aided by aggressive MSU team, who fouls more than 17 times per game, which would give Nebraska ample opportunities to get to the free-throw line for scoring opportunities. Prediction: No.
20 Michigan State 72, Nebraska 71.
