MOST manholes in Narwana are uncovered, which is very dangerous. The problem worsens during the night and rains. Children and the elderly are especially affected by it.

Low and substandard quality lids were placed on several manholes but some of these broke in just a day. The department must take action against the supplier of the manhole lids. Monkeys frequently terrorise children and snatch eatables from their hands. Simians entering houses in search of food is not an uncommon sight these days. The authorities concerned should take cognisance of the matter and take appropriate actions to address the problem.
