Fabian Hurzeler said he is pondering a tactical change against Leicester City. But will he actually go through with it - and what would it look like? The head coach’s revelation opened up the possibility for those of us on the outside to come up with all sorts of different possibilities – and ways to get it wrong. Or what if he said that to keep some attention off Eiran Cashin? To stop us all speculating about how the mid-season signing from Derby County will cope with a first Premier League start.
Hurzeler has taken his time with Cashin – and has had very little need to use him. A game at home to a side who have not scored in eight games could, on the one hand, be the ideal chance to give him that full Prem debut. It looks like we will see this man v Leicester on Saturday.

If not, then options in a back three include dropping back a midfielder in Mats Wieffer or Carlos Baleba or using Pervis Estupinan on the left of a three. FABIAN HURZELER'S PRESS CONFERENCE AS IT HAPPENED CAN GARETH SOUTHGATE'S WORDS HELEP BRIGHTON? That would leave Albion looking for two wing-backs and how many such players do they actually have? Estupinan and Kaoru Mitoma have both played that role successfully for their national teams but the latter is a doubt due to a whack suffered at Crystal Palace.
Solly March has played wing-back before but how many minutes can he give the team, especially in that exhausting role? Further forward, Simon Adingra looks the most obvious replacement should Mitoma not make it. Matt O’Riley had the No.10 role at Selhurst Park and did some good work but a fit and firing Joao Pedro offers a lot of creativity and flair.
It looks like the Albion line-up with the most question marks for some while. It could be something like this. But then again.
