It was a game that the Buffalo Bills didn't really need. Even if the Miami Dolphins were able to pull off an upset in Western New York Sunday, the Bills would still enjoy a multi-game lead for the AFC East crown. Cred: USA TODAY Sports Wire Images In the end, it didn't matter.
Clutch kicking from the Bills and strong quarterback play continued their domination over the Dolphins by a 30-27 final score. During the contest, Miami clearly looked like a team that was desperate to try and find solutions to their then 2-5 record. They had even taken the lead late in the third quarter at 13-12 after a missed PAT from Tyler Bass the previous possession.
On the next series, though, Bills quarterback Josh Allen found rookie runningback Ray Davis for a 63-yard touchdown reception to put Buffalo back up. While the game was tied following that score, the Bills never trailed after that play. "That was the biggest thing in my head, was make sure I make him miss," Davis said of the play afterward.
"After that, I kind of just blacked out from there. I heard the whole crowd, so I assumed nobody was around me. Thanks, Josh, for believing in me.
Being able to make that pass, and being a rookie, to me that shows he has a lot of trust in me to go out there and make a play, and I'm just blessed that he was able to have that faith in me." Related: Bills' Tyler Bass Gets Emotional After Making History vs. Dolphins “Make him miss.

Three words for a running back to live by. Buffalo has received plenty of positive play from the fourth-round rookie out of Kentucky. He led the team in receiving Sunday during the win and has been a very complimentary piece in the Bills' offense.
As the season goes on, Davis' touches have increased. It could help lead the way to another deep playoff run for Buffalo..
