What Did Jets Owner Woody Johnson Say About Trump?

New York's owner has never been shy about his support for one political party - and it could affect the Jets in future years.

Woody Johnson has never exactly hidden his support in terms of the presidential election over the last few years. Under President Donald Trump, the New York Jets owner had actually left his duties with the franchise to become the Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2017-2021. Since his return, the Jets have brought in plenty of top talent, but the winning ways have eluded the long-time owner.

Because Trump is the RNC's nominee and in a dead-heated race against Kamala Harris to become the nation's 47th President. Johnson appeared on Fox News Channel’s "Jesse Watters Primetime" last week and spoke candidly about the upcoming election and why Trump is the best candidate for the role of President of the United States.



"He’s very clearly laid out exactly what he wants to do and been very precise," Johnson said. "And, they have nothing. They’ve made no comment about the border, no comment about the economy, no comment about the world’s situation.

But how are they going to make people’s lives better when they’ve had four years to do it?" Should Trump win the election, could Johnson be given the role as Ambassador once again? That's currently in the cards with the owner even being called "Ambassador Johnson" through Jets PR.
