Large Glass Bowl, Brown 'I love collecting vintage glass pieces and this H&M find reminds me of a few pieces I have in my collection already,' says Head of Interiors Hebe Hatton.
'The shape and shades of the glass nod to Art Deco but I don't need to be as precious about this bowl as my vintage ones so I can use it for more practical things, like to throw my keys in on my console or for jewelry in my bathroom.' European Linen Sheet Set 'As the weather warms up, I'm looking for a new set of the best cooling sheets to keep me comfortable. Linen sheets are my favorite: durable and breathable with rumpled, rustic charm,' says our Sleep Editor, Emilia Hitching.
'Your average linen sheet set costs hundreds of dollars for a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases, but this Quince set is far more affordable. I've read the customer reviews to set my mind at ease about the lower price, and I'm impressed: a 4.77 average star rating from 5925 verified reviews.
Shop the set in classic white or any number of warm or cool colors, including subtle stripes and retro gingham.' Homecourt Cece Room Deodorant 'As well as having plenty of candles and reed diffusers dotted around my home, I'm also a big fan of room sprays – nothing beats cleaning a space and then giving it a good spritz with a delightful fresh scent,' says our Managing Editor Zara Stacey. 'Currently, I’m loving Homecourt’s luxurious collection of scents; from bath and body to surface cleaners, their product collection is ever-expanding! The Cece Room Deodorant in the Neroli Leaf scent is on my list for this month (the packaging is also super chic).
' Natalia Criado Perlina Silver-Plated Brass and Quartz Teacup and Saucer Set 'I browse Net-a-Porter often, but no product has ever stopped me in my tracks in the same way as the Perlina teacup,' says Head of Celebrity Style, Megan Slack. 'This strikingly minimalist piece is far too beautiful to house my morning coffee – but I enjoy the possibility that it could if I so wished. It’s the perfect decorative piece for my kitchen table and, though an investment, is something I’ll treasure forever.
It’s a rare meeting of my two loves: minimalism and caffeine.' Ellen Merchant Cottage Cotton Towel Collection 'Towels may be a very practical piece in your bathroom, but for so long I overlooked how pretty they could be too,' adds Hebe. 'Now I swap my towels out regularly, and as I keep mine on a rail and folded into an open closet, they add as much color and pattern as a new rug would.
I love the spring colors of these ones from Anthropologie, and the pattern is sure to bring some country charm into my space too.' Red Gemini Express Espresso Maker 'I have had this Gemini Espresso machine on my wishlist for years, and I think this month I am finally going to invest,' says News Editor Hannah Ziegler. 'First manufactured in Italy in the 1960s, these stovetop coffee makers shoot out two shots of espresso simultaneously and come in a variety of colors – however, I am partial to this cherry red.
' Ruffled Marble Bowl 'After giving my kitchen a refresh and reset at the beginning of the year, I'm starting to notice a few decorative details my space is missing,' says Kitchen & Bathrooms editor Molly Malsom. 'I really want to bring in more textural, visually interesting pieces that still feel functional. This ruffled marble bowl is the perfect piece – I'm going to use it as a decorative fruit bowl displayed proudly on my countertops.
' Grand Pillow by Ferm Living 'February welcomes the first glimpses of spring, so it's the perfect time to incorporate some uplifting color into my home,' says Paint & Color editor, Emily Moorman. 'This blue and burgundy striped pillow from Ferm Living is ranking highly on my wishlist right now – it’s a color combination I can’t stop thinking about and would do wonders to elevate a neutral room.' Byredo Peyote Poem Scented Candle 'In recent weeks, I’ve seen an increasingly common uniting thread between celebrities – and it comes in the form of a Byredo candle,' Megan adds.
'This Swedish label graces the homes of Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, and Zoe Saldana (to name but a few), and, at under $100, it’s a piece of luxury we can replicate in our homes. This scent is my favorite, it’s a celebration of the peyote cactus, a Mexican native that’s said to have hallucinogenic powers and, consequently, omits a fragrance unlike any I’ve ever previously enjoyed.' Astier de Villatte Rocaille Ceramic Vase 'Whether it's a bunch of vibrant daffodils or elegant tulips, the Rocaille vase is an effortlessly chic vessel for blooms of all varieties,' says Interior Design News Writer Eleanor Richardson.
'Made of delicately molded ceramic, I'm shopping this vintage-inspired piece to help me liven up any shelf, table, or console in my home this spring.' Fazeek Set of 2 Wave Mugs 'I find February a little miserable, so I’ve been finding ways to elevate my daily routine and spark more joy,' says Kitchens Appliance Editor Lydia Hayman. 'This has led me into my ‘elegant herbal tea era’ – and I’m loving it.
I got these handblown glass mugs from Fazeek in a gorgeous, sunshiney Amber color. I’ve been steeping organic ginger tea and my own homemade infusions. The cups feel so delicate and nice to sip from, I feel as though I’m at a luxury spa.
' Oliver Paper Lantern Floor Lamp 'I’m in the market for a new lamp, and as someone who is part of the anti-big light masses, I love anything soft with a subtle glow,' adds Hannah. 'Noguchi-inspired, rice paper lamps are my preference, and I love this cylindrical rendition from Urban Outfitters (it also happens to be on sale).' Staub Ceramic 2 Piece Rectangular Baking Dish Set 'I'll happily spend hours standing over the stove at the weekend, but I want fuss-free meals mid-week,' adds Emilia.
'So, I've been getting into one-pan meals, and I'm eyeing this baking dish set from Staub for hands-free cooking and easy clean-up. Staub makes stoneware to rival Le Creuset, with durable designs and rich colors. You could shop this stoneware set in ivory, dark blue, or rustic red, but I like the bright burst of Citron Yellow for pretty presentation.
' Parrot Tulips in a Vase Wall Art 'Anyone who knows me is aware of how much I love tulips,' adds Molly. 'So, as we head into the season of my favorite flowers, it only seems fitting to bring in botanical artworks that allows me to enjoy them all year round. I love the hand-drawn nature of this design – it's also not too colorful, so it will fit perfectly into my more neutral style.
' Bourg-Joly Malicorne Scalloped Plate 'I’ve needed some new dinnerware for a little while now, and these beautiful, hand-made scalloped plates by French ceramic brand, Bourg-Joly Malicorne, at The Six Bells are currently in the lead as my favorite,' adds Zara. 'As a lover of all things maximalist, I surprised myself by being drawn to the elegant, simple design, but I just love the delicate scalloped detailing - subtle but incredibly sophisticated and timeless. You can also purchase a matching bowl and large platter.
' Monique Lhuillier Dried Lavender Bundles 'Dried florals are a lasting choice that will uplift any room,' adds Eleanor, who is looking for some foliage to fill the vase on her wish list. 'I particularly love this dried lavender bundle scattered with eucalyptus, perfect for providing a room with a fresh zing.' La DoubleJ Set of Four Large Linen Napkins 'For me, the dinner table is the perfect place to embrace color, especially as we approach spring,' adds Emily.
'I love a colorful tablescape that feels instantly happy, and this set of linen napkins is just that. The mismatched colors and contrast edges create a playful look that’s not too uniform which I love, and they will transition perfectly into the summer months for al fresco dining.' Aarke Electric Kettle 'I also fell in love with this stainless steel kettle from Aarke, after testing and reviewing it as one of the best non-toxic kitchen appliances,' adds Lydia.
'You can adjust the temperature to suit your brew, it’s smooth and ergonomic to hold, and just beautiful to pour from. It makes me look forward to my tea in the morning.' With so many exciting new drops ahead of spring, February is the perfect moment to invest in some pieces that bring new season joy to your home.
