West Fargo police arrest Fargo man for fleeing, meth possession

Police used a PIT maneuver to stop a man who was fleeing on Sheyenne Street.

WEST FARGO — West Fargo police were able to stop a fleeing vehicle by bumping it with a patrol vehicle on Sheyenne Street early Thursday, Nov. 14. According to a release from the West Fargo Police Department, officers tried to stop a vehicle around 12:55 a.

m. for a traffic violation in the 900 block of Eaglewood Avenue West. The driver, 31-year-old Austin Michael Muck, of Fargo, then fled north.



Around the 2000 block of Sheyenne Street, officers used a pursuit intervention technique, using a patrol vehicle to collide with the fleeing vehicle and abruptly turn it to the side. Muck was arrested for felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of meth paraphernalia, felony reckless endangerment, felony tampering with physical evidence and driving under the influence. Additional charges are possible, police said.
