A West End squirrel has been pictured after stealing a tasty pastry. The animal was spotted running with the croissant which was “nearly the same size” of its body this afternoon. Grey squirrels diet mainly consists of plant matter like nuts, seeds, insects, and bird food.

Our eagle eyed photographer Colin Mearns spotted the adorable creature with its win on Gray Street. He quickly captured images of the mighty feast which was enjoyed up a tree.
It remains unknown how the squirrel secured the treat. “So funny. Someone in the West End is down a croissant! It's nearly the same size as the squirrel.”.
