Former TV presenter Wendy Williams has revealed what happened to her belongings, including the infamous chair from The Wendy Williams Show. The former daytime talk show host called into The View for a pre-recorded interview during which she opened up on her health and future plans, as well as if she would ever make a return to TV again. Discussing the conservatorship she has been under since 2022, the former television host and radio personality gave an update as she reassured The View and its viewers that her famous purple chair hasn't been lost despite being off air.
Williams, who recently signed an affidavit seeking to end the guardianship she's been under, spoke with hosts Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin during a pre-taped phone interview. She revealed: "All of my clothing, all of my sneakers, all of my handbags, everything in storage. And yes, the fabulous purple chair is in storage but when it comes out of storage, I'm keeping it with me for my life.
" Elsewhere in the interview, she also gave an update on having "incapacitation" as she addressed her conservatorship whilst speaking with The View team. Wendy has been calling into shows including The Breakfast Club and Good Day New York as she fights to be freed from her guardian, New York lawyer Sabrina Morrisey, Page Six reports. For the past eight months, Wendy has been living at the Coterie in New York City , reportedly undergoing care, and according to TMZ , the facility filed a police report on Wednesday, alleging that she had been "kidnapped" by her niece, Alex Finnie, who took her for dinner at an Italian restaurant.
Now, in her interview with The View, she revealed details of her outing, saying, "It was great at first...
They got me at the hospital, and then - with permission from the guardian, of course - we left the hospital by ambulance, and we stayed [at the living facility] for about an hour, because we knew were going out to eat, just to celebrate life. "We went to Tucci, great dinner! There were paparazzi, so we stopped. That's what I do.
I stopped, posed, and these two people that work here...
they're downstairs waiting for me. I'm not permitted to do anything, but stay on this floor, memory unit." She has claimed the unit where she lives is meant for elderly clients, as she added, "I'm 60!.
.. Why am I here!?" When asked by host Sunny Hostin what her future in broadcasting could look like, Wendy gave a firm update on whether she would return to presenting.
She answered the question as she said she believes she won't be able to do much unless her guardianship is removed. She shared: "I've been doing important things all of my life and these two people don't look like me. They don't talk like me.
They don't act like me. They will never be me. I need them to get off my neck!" Click here to follow the Mirror US on Google News to stay up to date with all the latest news, sport and entertainment stories.
