The day went off perfectly except for Griffith's AFL team Adelaide losing to the Gold Coast after an umpiring error involving a mark not paid to Crow Izak Rankine.

The couple, , then had a short honeymoon before Griffith returned to the airwaves on Wednesday, April 9. The following day, he was able to, for the first time, give away more than $1000 as part of his breakfast segment which involves contestants answering three -style questions. First-time player Micaela, of Albury, claimed $1010 after guessing like the majority on what you would wear in summer, what type of animal's cage you would not like to wake up in at a zoo and an occupation where you are up before sunrise.



For the record the answers were shorts, lion and baker. There was also change in the air over at ABC Goulburn Murray radio this week, where former 2AY breakfast host Sandra Moon has been entertaining a wider than usual audience in recent months. Fresh from on Sunday, April 7, Moon revealed who would be taking on the duties of hosting the ABC Shepparton-based breakfast show from later this month.

The Wodonga-located Moon has been taking on the Goulburn Valley broadcast, in addition to her Border and North East duties, since the start of the year when Nic Healey scored the gig of regional Victorian mornings announcer. But now former central Victorian ABC voice Jo Printz, a veteran of 30 years at the broadcaster, will take over Healey's role, which was once occupied As for Moon she is not leaving the breakfast microphone anytime soon as she told her listeners in somewhat grim terms. "They'll have to take me out of here feet first ," Moon said.

Riverina-raised Tony Armstrong will team up with entertainer Courtney Act to host the Eurovision Song Contest on SBS next month. The beloved Barranbinya man, who was a former AFL player and ABC television presenter and now author, welcomed the chance to step outside of his comfort zone into the glamorous world of Eurovision. Armstrong and Act will go to Switzerland for the 69th Eurovision from May 14 to 18.

A total of 37 acts will compete live on stage at St Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland, after Swiss act Nemo's win in Sweden last year. This year Go-Jo will represent Australia with his song Eurovision will air live from May 14 to 18 at 5am AEST on SBS and SBS On Demand. Daily Today's top stories curated by our news team.
