Weezer’s bassist Scott Shriner is giving an update on his wife Jillian ‘s medical condition after she was shot by police. The 59-year-old musician addressed the situation while walking four dogs outside of his Los Angeles home on Thursday (April 10). “She’s alright, thank you for asking,” Scott said to The New York Post .

He then seemingly confirmed his band’s upcoming appearance at a major music festival. “See you at Coachella!” he said before returning to his home. On Tuesday (April 8), Jillian , 51, was shot by law enforcement .

According to the report, police were chasing after suspects in a hit-and-run from an unrelated incident, and went into the backyard of a residential home. Then, Jillian reportedly emerged from the house next door, brandishing a gun. The LAPD said they repeatedly ordered her to drop then gun, and she apparently refused and then pointed the gun at the officers.

This is when one of the cops fired at her, and hit her in the shoulder. She reportedly then ran back into the house, and re-emerged 30 minutes later with a second woman, her babysitter, with their hands up. Jillian was then arrested and taken to the hospital to treat her injuries, and she was later booked for attempted murder.

The incident occurred a few days after Weezer was confirmed to perform at Coachella after another artist dropped out..
