The Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans must be champing at the bit to get on the field on Sunday afternoon. Atlanta and Houston each face a divisional opponent for the second time in Week 8 that they tore apart in their first meetings. The Texans posted over 400 total yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1.
They should have a similar level of success on Sunday, even without Nico Collins in the lineup. Kirk Cousins torched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for over 500 passing yards in Week 5. Tampa Bay's defense has not gotten better since the 36-30 loss to Atlanta, so we could see similar totals posted out of the Falcons offense.
Atlanta and Houston are the obvious teams to target for lineup stacks in DraftKings daily fantasy football contests , but with a full slate of games to choose from, there are plenty of potential sleepers out there. The Houston Texans will be one of the most popular teams to use for lineup stacks on Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts have the second-worst rushing defense in the NFL and they have allowed the fourth-most total yards in the league.
Houston's offense ran for 213 yards and C.J. Stroud recorded 204 passing yards against the Colts in a Week 1 win.
Joe Mixon is a must-start player at running back. He posted a 159-yard day on 30 carries back in Week 1. Mixon has three 100-yard performances on the ground in four appearances this season.
He is more than worth the $7,700 salary in DraftKings contests. Stroud tore up the Colts secondary with Nico Collins in Week 1. Expect Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs to take turns ripping Indianapolis to shreds with long receptions on Sunday.
A Stroud-Dell-Diggs stack could reap all sorts of rewards for DFS players on Sunday's robust slate. Kirk Cousins had one of his most successful games as an NFL quarterback against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5. Cousins threw for 501 yards and four touchdowns in the 36-30 overtime victory over the Falcons' top NFC South rival at the start of October.
Tampa Bay's defense still struggles to defend the pass, and the Bucs as a whole may come into Sunday demoralized after the injuries to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Drake London and Darnell Mooney each had 100-yard receiving performances in Week 5. They are the easy picks to join Cousins in a lineup stack.
Kyle Pitts is worth a look as well. The Falcons tight end had seven catches for 88 yards in Week 5 and Tampa Bay is one of five teams to allow over 400 yards to opposing tight ends. You will have to find some value around the Atlanta lineup stack since Cousins, London and Mooney all have salaries of $5.
800 or higher, but it could be well worth the high price. The Cleveland Browns actually have a decent chance to upset the Baltimore Ravens in the early afternoon slate. The Browns passing attack looked competent with Jameis Winston at the helm in the second half of last week's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Winston and Co. face a Ravens team with the league's worst passing defense and some injury issues in the secondary. At a $5,200 salary, Winston carries some of the best DFS value across all of Sunday's slate.
A Browns lineup stack likely includes running back Nick Chubb and tight end David Njoku, the two best skill position players on the roster. Cedric Tillman came alive in the second half last week. He carries a ton of value with a $3,300 salary.
The Browns may not be the highest-scoring team on Sunday, but there's certainly potential for them to put up points on the Ravens and produce a large amount of DFS points. Eligibility restrictions apply. See draftkings.
