Sunday's NFL schedule is packed with Week 11 action featuring a bunch of the league's top teams. The 12-game slate will showcase plenty of top stars, making DraftKings lineup decisions perhaps even more challenging for daily fantasy managers. The early-afternoon window features teams such as the Detroit Lions (8-1) and the Green Bay Packers (6-3).
There will also be an AFC North showdown between the Baltimore Ravens (7-3) and Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2). Later in the day, the Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) will be on the road facing the Buffalo Bills (8-2) in a highly anticipated matchup between two of the AFC's top teams. Heading into the day's action, here are some DFS tips for constructing a DraftKings lineup.
The Miami Dolphins are 3-6, and their offense has often disappointed at times this season. But in Week 11, they're set to host the Las Vegas Raiders in a favorable matchup that should yield big fantasy outputs for many of Miami's top playmakers. A Dolphins stack featuring quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ($6,000) and tight end Jonnu Smith ($3,800) could be a smart move on DraftKings.
The Raiders are giving up the eighth-most fantasy points to QBs and the fifth-most points to TEs this season (per NFL.com ). Tagovailoa has thrown four touchdown passes and only one interception over three games since returning from a concussion, and he has passed for 200-plus yards in each of those contests.
The 26-year-old Alabama product should put up even bigger numbers vs. Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Smith has frequently been involved in Miami's offense of late, receiving six-plus targets in four of his past five games.
The 29-year-old is a good pick to get into the end zone this week. Every DFS lineup should have at least one star, and this week, Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is a great choice for that role. The 22-year-old didn't get into the end zone last week, but he scored seven touchdowns over his six previous games.
Gibbs ($7,300) has quite an enticing matchup in Week 11, when the Lions are hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. It should be a blowout win in Detroit's favor, which means the team will likely lean heavily on Gibbs and David Montgomery out of the backfield. The Jags are allowing 129.
4 rushing yards per game, while giving up the third-most fantasy points to running backs this season (per NFL.com ). The Lions likely won't need to be aggressive on offense, so the game script should allow them to run more than pass.
Every week, Gibbs is a threat to break out for a huge fantasy performance. It seems highly likely that could happen on Sunday. Mike Williams' debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10 was relatively quiet, as the 30-year-old wide receiver wasn't too involved for much of their road win against the Washington Commanders.
However, he ended up catching a go-ahead 32-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson that lifted Pittsburgh to victory. Since then, Williams ($4,100) has had more time to get accustomed to the Steelers' offense, so he could get more attention from Wilson during a Week 11 matchup vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
It helps that this game could be a high-scoring AFC North affair. Baltimore is allowing an NFL-high 294.9 passing yards per game and is giving up the most fantasy points to WRs (per NFL.
com ). So Pittsburgh's passing attack should have success. Although George Pickens will likely be the Steelers' leading receiver, Williams is worth including in DFS lineups as a sleeper play.
It's quite possible to be a move that pays big dividends on Sunday..
