Four counties have been given a yellow weather warning for snow and ice as the entire country will be under an ice warning on Tuesday. The status yellow warning will be in place for counties Leitrim, Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan, from 7pm on Monday (November 18) until 8am on Tuesday (November 19). As well as this, the entirety of Northern Ireland is under a yellow warning for snow and ice from 3pm on Monday until 10am on Tuesday.

Met Éireann have warned that snowfall accumulations are possible this evening and overnight, while the entire country will be hit with a low temperature and ice warning on Tuesday from 7pm until Wednesday (November 20) at 10am. Met Éireann have said that possible impacts of the snowfall warning include poor visibility and difficult travel conditions, while potential impacts of the low-temperature warning include hazardous conditions on roads and paths and some travel disruption. Looking at the forecast for the rest of the week, Met Éireann have said that it will be cloudy with continued outbreaks of rain on Tuesday night, which will turn to sleet and snow in parts of Ulster and north Connacht — some of which will accumulate.

Becoming dry in north Ulster by dawn, with frost and ice developing. Lowest temperatures of 0C to 4C, a little milder in Munster and south Leinster. Wednesday morning will see outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow moving southwards, turning mainly to rain and sleet before clearing to the south during the afternoon.

Sunny spells and scattered wintry showers in the north will occur during the evening, with highest temperatures of 2C to 5C generally, a little warmer in Munster with highs of 5C to 8C. A yellow warning for entire country now from 8pm Tuesday to 10am Wednesday for low temperature ice warning. An icy mess for many areas Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Lowest temperatures of -3C to +1C with frost and icy patches. The frost will gradually clear on Wednesday but will linger in some sheltered areas, but it will be mainly dry with sunny spells. Some wintry showers are also likely, mainly in western and northern parts of Connacht and Ulster.

Highs of just 3C to 5C. Wednesday night will be dry and clear, but scattered wintry showers will continue in parts of the west and north, with lowest temperatures again plummeting to -1C to +3C lows. Looking to the rest of the week, Met Éireann have said that it will be a cold one, with frost and icy patches developing during the nights with localised freezing fog possible.
