HOUSTON — The potential for severe weather is back in the forecast and that’s why the KHOU 11 Weather Team is calling for a Weather Impact Alert on Sunday. The Weather Impact Alert is for all day, though the primary storm window as of now is from 6 a.m.

to 6 p.m. Strong storms with gusty winds are the biggest concern.



Morning showers might impact you if you’re driving around town or at church services. Stronger storms could interrupt brunch plans by midday and the system should move offshore by 6 p.m.

The front that moves through on Sunday will bring in cooler air, shifting Southeast Texas from mid and above-average temperatures to much cooler weather. Highs will drop into the 40s with potential lows near or below freezing. This Weather Impact Alert story is as of Thursday, Jan.
