SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Storm Team 3 is tracking another round of strong to severe storms possible with Monday's incoming cold front. This system is expected to bring multiple rounds of very strong and severe storms to our west on Sunday.

Large hail, damaging winds, and multiple tornadoes are expected across Ohio, Mississippi, and Tennessee Valleys. As this strong cold front approaches the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, it will weaken, but Storm Team 3 is still tracking rounds of gusty storms to move through the region Monday afternoon and evening.Local Timing & ImpactsThe first round of non severe storms ahead of this system will impact the region on Sunday.



We're tracking scattered showers and non severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening ahead of Monday's front. These storms move out Sunday night into Monday morning before the second and stronger round approaches. The timeframe for strong to severe storms on Monday enter the western region right around 3 p.

m. and exit the coast right around 8 p.m.

The main threat within these storms is going to be gusty and damaging winds with gusts possibly reaching up to 50-60 mph at times. Heavy rain will also be a concern with areas of poor drainage and low lying areas possibly seeing minor flooding or ponding. The tornado risk is also nonzero at this time.
