
Warner Bros. Pictures held its CinemaCon presentation tonight with a lot of footage shown and none of it going online – everything kept for the room itself. SupermanDirector James Gunn and much of the cast were there to show off an extended sneak peek which carries on from the teaser trailer moment in which a fallen Superman asks Krypto to take him home.
The lively pooch drags him to the Fortress of Solitude, where robots repair him with the help of the sun.Gunn says the project is still in “the throes of post-production” and says his approach to Krypto was: “Oh my god what if my dog had super powers, I’d be f–ked”. Star David Corenswet said: “It’s a great honor to play a role that exists so clearly in the public consciousness.
”Nicholas Hoult, who plays Lex, says of seeing Corenswet filming: “I felt like I was witnessing the magic of cinema in first-person in real time.” Hoult was also asked what other DC character he’d want to play to which he says: “Well I auditioned for Batman and Superman and I didn’t get either of them!.”Warners also finally confirmed that an extended sneak peek of the film will premiere in front of IMAX copies of the movie this weekend with “A Minecraft Movie”.
