Waynesburg rocks Sto-Rox, clinches playoff berth

WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg clinched a playoff berth with a 51-7 victory over visiting Sto-Rox in the Class 2A Century Conference on Friday. Waynesburg finishes 4-2 in the conference and 6-4 overall. The Raiders tied with Keystone Oaks for second place.

The game was decided by halftime as Waynesburg rolled to a 31-7 advantage at intermission. Jacob Stephenson threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Zachery Jiblits and ran for TDs covering 15 and 45 yards. Ross Tennant had scoring runs of 15 and two yards in the second half.



Jack Ricciuti blocked a Sto-Rox punt that was scooped up and returned 22 yards for a touchdown by Tegan Crouse. Jeffrey Blair closed the scoring with an eight-yard TD scamper up the middle in the fourth quarter..
