Representative Image NEW DELHI: Water supply in parts of west Delhi will face disruption for 16 hours on October 1 and 2, according to the Delhi Jal Board ( DJB ). The areas affected include Varun Niketan, Raja Garden, Ramesh Nagar , Khyala, Rani Bagh, Moti Nagar, Shanta Puri Tagore Garden, Tilak Nagar , Rajouri Garden, Hari Nagar, and nearby areas. The DJB announced that the disruption is due to major repair work on the 1100 mm diameter header line feeding the 1100 mm diameter West Delhi Main and 1200 mm diameter Pitampura Main inside Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant Phase-I.
The water supply will either be unavailable or available at low pressure from 10 am on October 1 to 2 am on October 2. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to use water judiciously and store adequate amounts in advance. The DJB stated, " Water tankers will be available on demand from the DJB helpline or the central control room.
" The DJB has urged residents to prepare for the water supply interruption and assured that necessary arrangements have been made to assist those in need..
