If there’s anything we’ve gleaned from the past year, it’s the growing focus on Asia when it comes to fashion eminence. With top maisons in the vein of Louis Vuitton and Chanel veering towards showing their collections in cities closer to home, the buzz and demand within the respective capitals have too, seen an uprising in the scene. Now, all eyes will be on Hong Kong, as the bustling city is set to host the ninth edition of fashion extravaganza CENTRESTAGE .
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) with Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) as the Lead Sponsor, the annual event will take place from 4 September to 7 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Back bigger and better, this four-day exhibition will bring together over 250 brands from 18 countries and regions, including new thematic spaces for circular fashion and athleisure—the latter spurred on by Olympics fever. An exciting lineup awaits at CENTRESTAGE: from fashion shows to parades to seminars led by industry-heavy weights, attendees can gain insights and explore business opportunities.
To kickstart the massive event, a grand opening fashion show, CENTRESTAGE ELITES, will celebrate the monumental occasion on 3 September, featuring a showing by Robert Wun. Set to be a heartwarming and triumphant homecoming for the Hong Kong-born designer, this will be the first fashion show housed in the prestigious Hong Kong Palace Museum. Fans of Wun can expect a show like no other, made even more special in the designer’s homeland and undoubtedly a fitting opener to what’s in store at CENTRESTAGE.
