In a viral video from New York Fashion Week that was shared on social media last Friday, Rihanna appeared to ignore her former friend Naomi Campbell. In the footage posted by a fan, the singer made her entrance at the Alaïa runway show to locate her front-row seat. She captivated everyone as she shone in a designer gown encrusted with crystals.

She was observed exchanging greetings with Edward Enninful, the former editor-in-chief of British Vogue, before proceeding without acknowledging Campbell, who was seated in the front row next to stylist Law Roach. The supermodel seemed to be observing Rihanna as she made her grand entrance, gazing up at her. “Naomi Campbell and Rihanna really does h4te each other 😭,” wrote the X user who shared the video.

The fashion model and the Grammy winner were definitely friends, or at least acquaintances, at some point. They have been captured in photographs together on several occasions and were even seen having an Italian dinner in May 2016. However, there is a fan theory suggesting that the friendship might have deteriorated when Rihanna started dating billionaire Hassan Jameel in 2017.

The previous year, Campbell and Jameel were seen together at the British Summer Time Festival in London, although their romantic involvement was never officially confirmed. Rihanna and Campbell stopped following each other on Instagram prior to the public revelation of the former’s relationship with Jameel. During her October 2021 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the “Zoolander 2” actress addressed the speculated drama, attempting to dispel the feud rumors.

“Everything’s fine. Of course, it’s fine,” Campbell assured host Andy Cohen then. She then clarified, “I don’t have any beef,” further elaborating, “I don’t have beef especially with black women that I think are powerful and out there.

” Campbell then summed up, “We’re all in the same thing, doing the same struggle.”.
