He appeared at Perth Magistrates Court Thursday, where his application for bail was adjourned until later in the day. Barrientos, who was born in Colombia but moved to the UK as a refugee as a child, remains in custody. Barrientos' lawyer revealed at the hearing that his client earns $700,000AUD (£360,000) a year from social media alone.

The rapper has more than three million followers on Instagram and almost two million YouTube subscribers. His fans gathered outside the court and sat inside the public gallery during the hearing. Barrientos began his online career in 2013 before breaking into the music industry in 2017.

He featured on Channel 4's The Great Celebrity Bake Off in 2022 and has previously presented on the BBC's Hot Property. Barrientos kicked off his Australia tour in Perth before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast, where he played four show.
