He is recovering from a gunshot wound to his chest which he suffered after being attacked by a still unidentified assailant during a campaign sortie in Barangay Tinag-an, Albuera, Leyte, on Thursday, April 10.In the same interview with Rappler, Espinosa claimed that a “big politician” was the brains behind the attack, and that his assailants were cops.
