Two different worlds of pop music collided at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards . Rising Colombian star and Best New Artist nominee Ela Taubert was joined by surprise guest Joe Jonas for a special performance of “¿Cómo Pasó?” Taubert and Jonas helped get the awards show going with a Spanglish version of “¿Cómo Pasó?” Taubert stepped onstage, with Jonas appearing behind her as the crowd roared. While playing the guitar, Jonas translated the angst of Taubert’s song in English.

The two singers matched in studded blacked outfits and shared a hug at the end of the performance. Taubert had a breakthrough year thanks to the success of her song “¿Cómo Pasó?,” which has amassed over 106 million streams on Spotify. When Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito Tour visited Taubert’s hometown of Bogotá, she was invited by La Bichota to open the concert.

In September, the singer-songwriter revealed to Rolling Stone that one of her inspirations while growing up was Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana character. Now Taubert is making her Disney dreams come true in a surprise duet with the middle Jonas brother. Jonas recently completed the Five Albums.
