In the new season of 1000-lb Sisters, Amy Slaton shares details of an incident at Tennessee Safari Park that saw her getting bitten by a camel and then being arrested

Amy Slaton has opened up about the moment she was bitten by a camel before being arrested at a zoo last summer. The 1000-lb Sisters star shared details of the harrowing incident in the latest season of the TLC show , which premieres on Tuesday. In a clip shared on social media ahead of the new season, Amy's friend, Brian Scott Lovvorn, says, "That's a big dude.

" And Amy, 37, can be seen screaming, "Ouch! The camel just bit me," as the animal lunges at her arm as she sat in the passenger seat of a car at Tennessee Safari Park. After suffering the bite and being whisked away on a stretcher, the star found herself in handcuffs at the zoo , facing allegations of drug possession and child endangerment . In the trailer video, she said, "I had no clue what was going on.

The cops came to me. What am I being arrested for?" She joked, "They should be handcuffing the damn camel." Her sister Tammy Slaton, 38, then said, "How do you get bit by a camel?" as she burst into laughter.

Fans were excited to learn that they don't have to wait long for new episodes to be released. One commented on Instagram, "Looking forward to next Tuesday." Another said, "CAN'T WAIT.

" A third wrote, "Not getting bit by a camel and then get arrested." One more added, "Every time i see a short for them I'm laughing." And a fan said, "Omg my girls I need a sodie now.

" In a plea deal last December, Amy admitted to two counts of drug possession, resulting in reduced charges to simple possession and dismissal of child endangerment charges. Both Amy and Brian entered guilty pleas for drug charges and received two years of supervised probation. During the debut season of 1000-lb Sisters, which aired in January 2020, viewers saw Amy tipping the scales at over 400 pounds.

Following gastric bypass surgery, she shed an impressive 136lbs, bringing her down to 275lbs. Tammy is also fighting her own battle, this time against nicotine addiction, as she prepares for skin removal surgery. She shared her feelings, saying, "I've come so far in my weight loss journey," but admitted, "but now I have even more insecurities about my body because I have so much loose skin.

" Love is also in the air for Amy, who excitedly revealed, "I met a man," and described their whirlwind romance, "We're moving so fast, but yet it just makes sense." Following her astonishing 13-stone weight loss last year, Amy felt "blessed." After parting ways with Michael Halterman, she faced challenges but sought support from an online mental health service tailored to clients' needs.

The marriage between Slaton and Halterman came to an end in 2023 after a tumultuous divorce. The couple initially eloped in 2017 and later celebrated with a wedding in 2019, which fans witnessed on the beloved TLC show. The couple parted ways less than a year after Slaton gave birth to her son Glenn Allen in July 2022.

She also has another son, Gage, born in November 2020. The new season of 100-lb Sisters is set to premiere on April 15. Click here to follow the Mirror US on Google News to stay up to date with all the latest news, sports and entertainment stories.
