MURRAY, Ky. — North Dakota State scored 42 points in the first half and rolled to a 59-6 victory against Murray State on Saturday in Missouri Valley Football Conference play before 6,133 fans at Roy Stewart Stadium. Bison receiver Bryce Lance finished with four catches for 108 yards and three touchdowns, including a 74-yard TD catch in the opening quarter.

Lance became the first Bison player with three TD catches in a game since 2008 when Kole Heckendorf also had three touchdown receptions against Austin Peay. NDSU needed starting QB Cam Miller for less than a half before going to backup quarterback Nathan Hayes late in the second quarter. Miller completed 5 of 5 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
