The latest addition to the Warzone weapon arsenal is pay-to-win much to the annoyance of players dropping into the battle royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone is no stranger to a pay-to-win controversy. The battle royale has already seen Black Ops 6 players receive a huge XP boost while in previous seasons, overpowered weapon blueprints locked behind a paywall have granted those dropping into matches an unfair advantage. As part of the Season 1 update, the Sirin 9mm debuted in the battle royale as the final community reward available within The Hit List event.

With players struggling to reach the goal of 32 billion eliminations across multiplayer and the battle royale, players are getting hold of it early by spending some CoD Points. The Sirin 9mm is pay-to-win Instead of players joining forces to reach the target, the Sirin 9mm is available in a store bundle for the price of 2,800 CoD Points. To earn this amount, players have to purchase 2,400 CoD Points for £16.

79. This particular bundle comes with 400 bonus points, giving you enough to purchase the Reactive: Cash Bandit bundle. Alongside the Debt Collector blueprint for the Sirin 9mm, players can also get their hands on the Racoon Goon skin for Niran along with a wealth of other cosmetic items.

While some are willing to spend their CoD Points on the bundle, locking the latest weapon behind a paywall is far from ideal when the elimination target is currently out of reach. In addition to Warzone’s newest addition to the arsenal being placed behind a cost, the weapon is already shaking up the meta thanks to its minimal recoil and excellent damage output in close-quarters combat. As it’s a blueprint, it also features a unique reactive camouflage and colourful tracer rounds so you can see where the bullets are heading.

Will the Sirin 9mm ever launch? With only a week of The Hit List event remaining and several billion eliminations required by fans to unlock the weapon, it’s unclear if the Sirin 9mm will ever see the light of day. Treyarch is yet to reveal how it plans to release the weapon if the target isn’t reached. Perhaps an unlock challenge instead of relying on players to earn an extortionate number of kills in a small amount of time.

Some community-focused events in Warzone are always fun but when the goals are hard to achieve, there’s always a chance it isn’t reached any players don’t get the reward that’s up for grabs.
