Star Correspondent On Thursday night, the Happy Valley Warriors will look to close out the 2024 regular season on a high note with a victory over West Greene at Jim Sauceman Field. The Warriors will be the third Carter County team to play there, as both Cloudland and Hampton have earned big wins on that field this season. Cloudland scored a 30-0 win there behind 201 rushing yards from sophomore Grayson Cole, while Hampton’s Dom Burleson had a 199-yard rushing night as the Bulldogs took a 38-0 victory.
“We have got a lot to play for,” Warriors head coach Jason Jarrett said. “We’re still looking for a home playoff game, and you don’t want to go into that off a loss. I think West Greene’s overall record is deceiving.
They have some good players, and it’s their seniors’ last opportunity to shine. I expect them to battle.”.
