Cleveland's Deshaun Watson experiment has gone about as poorly as one could imagine over the last two-plus seasons. After making the move for the beleaguered star QB following some troubling accusations — and signing him to an unprecedented five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract — Watson has since rewarded the Browns with the worst play of his career. Hall of Famer Warren Moon, who built a relationship with the 29-year-old during his first five seasons in Houston, recently told TMZ that he believes a lot of Watson's on-field performance has to do with what he's faced off of it.

"He's still dealing with a lot of that crap that he dealt with a couple of years ago with the lawsuits and all that," the Oilers legend explained. "And now, all of the sudden, another lawsuit comes up." "It seems like just when he's starting to maybe get his career back on track from getting over the lawsuits — and then the injuries that he's had the last couple years — here comes another one.

" Moon went on to say that the weight of Watson's off-field troubles is likely keeping him from returning to the Pro Bowl form he was at to begin his career. "It seems like every time he goes out on the field he's playing with a heavy mind and he's not able to focus on the game," Moon continued. "He's probably trying a little bit too hard.

He's pressing. And he's just not able to play the way he's capable of playing." Gregory Shamus/Getty Images "I kind of understand it.

I sympathize with it, but some of this, he put himself in those situations." Watson will attempt to get back on track Sunday against Daniel Jones and the winless New York Giants. Since joining the Browns in 2022, he's completed just 59% of his passes for 2,572 yards with 15 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and seven fumbles.
