Warming up to start the week around Rochester

After a chillier weekend, we warm up quickly today, bringing mild temperatures before some wintry weather returns midweek.

After northwest winds brought in cooler temperatures this past weekend, we have pleasant weather returning today. Winds will still be a little breezy, but as they shift to out of the south early on, temperatures will warm up into the 60s with plenty of sun this afternoon. Tuesday also looks to be rather mild, but a touch cloudier around the region, as temperatures stay in the 50s.

However, by Tuesday night, that is when we are going to keep an eye on another system that slides through the mid-west. Currently, we look to start off with light rain around the region, that will slowly transition into snow and a bit of freezing drizzle as temperatures tumble Tuesday night. Them by Wednesday, we still have temperatures hovering in the mid-30s for much of the day.

With that, while precipitation may start and end the day as snow, we could have a few spots in between where it will shift over into a wintry mix, before moving out Wednesday night. ADVERTISEMENT.
