The cold front has finally arrived over southern Minnesota, and we will feel the full brunt of it today. After a night of sub zero temperatures, we warm back up into the mid single digits above zero this afternoon. We do have plenty of sunshine today, but a mid December sunshine is very weak, and won't do much good to warm us up besides road surfaces.
The good news is warmer weather is on the way with highs in the low 20s for Friday. Clouds do roll in, but the temperatures keep on climbing. By the weekend highs are back in the mid 30s, although a chance of rain and snow is possible on Saturday.
